Licensing Industry Faces Food Issue

Brand Licensing Europe 2008 - August 2008

The issue of food licensing is to be tackled head on for the first time by the licensing industry at Brand Licensing Europe this October during a free-to-attend conference session at the event’s Licensing Academy.

Managing Director of LIMA UK (Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association) Kelvyn Gardner will chair a panel of experts from BBC Worldwide (Richard Hollis), Finsbury Food Group (Mark Bruce) and Peter Rabbit Organics.

The panel will argue that, despite the path making and marketing appropriate licensed food products isn't always a clear one, getting it right must be a priority not only for brand owners, but also for licensees and retailers.

Through case studies and examples, the panel will tackle some the hottest issues facing this sector, such as the pros and cons of adopting guidelines, as well as highlighting existing success stories.

‘Licensing Food – The Way Forward’ takes place between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 2 October 2008 at Brand Licensing Europe, Olympia, London. To register for a free visitor pass to Brand Licensing Europe and all eight Licensing Academy sessions (including keynotes from LazyTown creator Magnus Scheving and The Future Laboratory director Tom Savigar) please visit www.brandlicensingeurope.com.
