The Artlist Collection Franchise Brings Home the Bacon - Spearmark Paves the Way for Piggy Fans!
The Pig, the latest addition to the Artlist Collection animal franchise, has been charming fans since its introduction late last year. Piggy fans will now be able to accessorise whilst on the go thanks to licensee Spearmark who has helped to get The Pig off to a trotting start with its first UK deal! Their debut collection will include lunch bags, lunch kits and sports bottles featuring different piggy breeds. Other licensees to sign up the brand include Trademark Collections who will develop a range of bags including backpacks, gym bags, wheeled trolley bags, purses, wallets and umbrellas. A Barking Success!
The UK market continues to prove that The Dog is still a man's best friend with more licensees signing up to the brand. Photo Me International will be launching a selection of character balls for vending machines later this year supported by in-store point of sale and promotions. Lazerbuilt are set to launch an exciting range of accessories for mobile phones and MP3 players. The range will include cases, socks, neckstraps, earphones, wristbands, IPod Nano skins, mobile phone charms/danglys and mobile phone/MP3 stickers. Michael O'Mara has taken a licence for novelty cheque books, BB Designs have taken a licence for bags umbrellas and purses and Moonpig has just launched a range of online greeting cards allowing canine fans to create, personalize and send doggy greetings to their friends and loved ones.

The Dog continues to grow throughout the rest of Europe with the launch of a Partwork Collection from Egmont in Sweden supported by a television campaign and costume character appearances at major dog shows. Leomil Fashions have developed a full range of children's apparel, which will hit stores later this year in GAS, Benelux and Portugal, and in all main supermarkets and specialist stores in France. Footwear will also be available in France. Plush licensee Gosh has added leisure plush to their licence for the Italian market. |
The Royal Air Force Spreads its Wings to Europe
Following the successful launch and roll-out of the RAF licensing and merchandising programme in the UK, the RAF has now set its sights on Europe. MJA Licensing, one of the country's newest and most dynamic agents, is licensing the RAF brand in France and has already signed three RAF licensees. Soditex International will be offering RAF-branded children's flip-flops, training shoes and slippers, as well as junior walkers' shoes and leather sport shoes. Marketing Licensed Products, meanwhile, will produce RAF T-shirts, sweatshirts and pyjamas. Professional Licensing Group has also been signed to represent the brand in the Italian market and will be working hard to develop a fashionable licensing programme dominated by apparel and accessories.
RAF apparel has landed in the UK! Glorious Britain stores are now stocking RAF apparel from UK licensee JOI at all Heathrow airport terminals, outlets in Gatwick, Luton and Prestwick airport in Scotland as well as in their high street store in Windsor. Another retailer to show its support to the brand is Marks and Spencer's who willbe 'blowing your socks off' with the new range of RAF men's socks from Samuel Eden. The range will be on sale both in store and online at marksandspencers.com from September. As the RAF expands at retail so does the licensing programme with two new licensees on board. Heraldic Designs will be launching a range of needlepoint gifts including cushion covers, slippers and spectacle cases, and for the thrill seekers, RAF fanatics will soon be able to fulfill all their flying fantasies when S&D Leisure unveil their RAF branded flying simulators at air shows later this year. |
