Copyright Promotions: Pebble Townies – a smooth tale

With the Pebble Townies Copyright Promotions GmbH add another heavy stone to their successful licensing portfolio. Just as their name promises, all Pebble Townies as well as their village are made of real, painted pebbles. Stories are staged in pebble surroundings and models photographed against pebble backgrounds. This unparalleled concept makes children picture books appear most realistic and invite children to creative pebble play. More than 180 funny characters are animated through unique, patented techniques. Each character features their own individual profile: size, profession, hobbies, and not to forget their favourite dish.

Since 2005 books on the adventures in and around Pebble Town by Gecko Keck (author and publisher) have been sold in German bookstores; since 2007 the lovable characters are also available for licensing. Besides picture books Pebble Townies also populate colouring and activity books, first readers, audio books and games. Rübezahl Schokolade fills their popular Wonderteddies with Pebble Town figures and do-it-yourself kits provide everything you need to build your own favourite Pebble Townie. On the internet page www.kieselsteiner.de children find anything they might want to know about life in Pebble Town.

“Their one-of-a-kind animation technique makes Pebble Townies and their whole world a licensed property with highest potential for successful licensing,” says Joachim Knödler, Sales & Retail Director of Copyright Promotions. For the target group of three to eight-year-olds most promising categories include school supply and games as well as textiles, accessories, food and bath products.

In this target group successful marketing concepts for popular licenses like Strawberry Shortcake, Land before Time and Sesame Street already carry Copyright Promotions unique signature.
