Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP), a division of Viacom Inc (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), announced today that Andrés Mochón has been promoted to Vice President, NVCP for Latin America, and Jennifer Lawlor has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Agent Territories, NVCP for Europe, Near East, Africa. The new positions are effective immediately and are part of NVCP’s move to further expand and closely align its global business. Today’s announcement was made by Jean-Philippe Randisi, Senior Vice President & MD, NVCP Canada, Europe & Latin America, to whom both Mochón and Lawlor report.

Formerly Director, NVCP for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Andrés Mochón will now oversee licensing and merchandising for MTV Networks International’s portfolio of properties in all markets throughout the Latin America region. As Vice President based in Miami, Mochón will manage all local consumer products activities, including events, oversight of retail development, plus management of day-to-day relationships with regional agents and licensees. Working closely with MTVN Latin America, Mochón will continue to expand the company’s profile, grow sales and leverage relationships with major partners across multiple categories including toy, home video and videogame.

Based in London, Jennifer Lawlor will be responsible for overseeing NVCP’s agent partnerships in ENEA markets such as Greece, Israel, Italy, Poland and Spain, where NVCP’s global franchises and key partnerships are represented by agents. Working in close collaboration with MTVNI’s network of channels throughout Europe, Programme Sales team and broadcast partners, Lawlor will identify opportunities to develop Nickelodeon’s presence at retail and develop synergies with the network’s channels and third party broadcast partners to grow Nickelodeon powerhouse franchises such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer.

‘These new appointments position NVCP’s international expansion perfectly for the next growth phase,’ commented Jean-Philippe Randisi, ‘Andrés’ deep knowledge of our properties and business expertise in the region will serve to further strengthen NVCP Latin America, and Jennifer’s in-depth understanding of the industry and previous experience working with licensing agents compliments our European business.’

Prior to joining NVCP, Mochón spent four years with Agosin Licensias Y Ventas Publicitarias, a Latin American licensing agency, where he served as General Manager and oversaw a portfolio of international licenses including Nickelodeon and Hit Entertainment, amongst others. Mochón currently resides in Miami with his wife and children.

Lawlor joins NVCP from 4Kids Entertainment where she was Vice President, Marketing & Licensing, from 2002, appointing and managing more than 40 US licensees in New York and credited with the successful launch of the Teenage Mutant Turtles Movie in March 2007. Prior to that, Lawlor worked as International Marketing Manager at Pepper’s Ghost Productions, a UK-based Production company. Lawlor holds a BSc Hons degree from Aston University, Birmingham and currently resides in London.
