Rob Brydon Unveiled As Celebrity Host Of The Licensing Awards 2008

Brandora News - September 2008

Countdown to The Licensing Awards 2008 on Wednesday 17 September 2008 hosted by comedian Rob Brydon and The Licensing Source Book Europe

Following the recent announcement of the finalists of The Licensing Awards 2008, The Licensing Source Book can now reveal comedian and TV personality, Rob Brydon, will be the host of their glittering event this year. The winners of The Licensing Awards 2008 will be announced and presented during the inaugural ceremony taking place at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Wednesday 17 September 2008.

Now in their third year running, these awards recognise and reward innovation and excellence right across the licensing spectrum - product development, retailing and licensed properties. The awards and The Licensing Awards event are owned and organised by The Licensing Source Book, part of Max Publishing. Spring Fair Birmingham is the headline sponsor once again for the awards and Lima UK is again an official supporter of the awards.

The award categories recognise products, retailers and property owners. This year’s awards categories include five new awards dedicated to brand licensing (encompassing sports, celebrities as well as general brands).

Ian Hyder, Director, The Licensing Source Book, comments: “As we edge ever closer to revealing who will be hailed the best in the business at The Licensing Awards 2008, we can now unveil the brilliant Rob Brydon who will inject his own humour and genius into what is set to be our biggest event yet!”

All finalists listed below also appear in the Brand & Sport Licensing Source Book 2008 and the autumn 2008 edition of The Licensing Source Book. The winners however will remain a closely guarded secret until the Awards event on 17 September 2008. This lavish black tie do, attended by over 1,000 people, will be a night to remember for the schmoozing, the gourmet food, the superb entertainment line-up, the dancing, the biggest goodie bag – and the fact the whole industry will be together.
