Apparent Gravity Media (AGM) has set MIPCOM 2008 to showcase America’s most esteemed canine specials. Sales executives Andrea Eisen and Beth Fraikhorn are offering international broadcasters two of the most prestigious dog shows available, Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (WDS) and The National Dog Show. “These specials are considered to be stand-alone icon events in the dog breeding world,” said Eisen. “Considered as the ultimate competition for purebred dogs and most widely viewed in America, these two programs are tradition-rich family entertainment, ideal for loyal dog lovers everywhere.” Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (2 X 3 hrs. The 2009 show is set for February 9 and 10. AGM is offering co-production opportunities for 2009 programs, localized versions and short-form programming for Web and mobile platforms. The 2006 & 2007 WDS are also available in both HD & SD versions. A sports tradition since 1876, The National Dog Show (1 x 2 hrs. 2008 plus futures thru 2011 in HD) features 2000 dogs representing 160 breeds.
