Little Princess boasts strong TV ratings on German children’s channel KIKA

TV-Loonland, the brand management company recognised for managing kids brands worldwide, is proud to announce successful ratings again this year for hit preschool show, Little Princess, on German children’s channel KIKA.

Little Princess multi-award winning animation series once again proved its popularity among its young audience in Germany with strong TV ratings recorded in September 2008. The 65 episode series, currently airing daily on the top slot at 6.40pm on children’s channel KIKA, further improved its strong audience figures from August 2008.

With a market share of up to 85.5% with girls aged 3 to 6 years, the series is clearly ranked among the most successful children programmes on the German channel. Up to 510,000 children at the age of 3 to 13 years (240,000 girls aged between 3 to 6 years) tuned in to watch the adventures of Little Princess. (Source for all figures: Media Control).

During September 2008, Panini launched the Little Princess magazine with the next issue scheduled for November 2008. Besides Panini, numerous other licensees have already joined the Little Princess success story. Master Toy Licensee, Martin Yaffe International, has launched its Little Princess toy range under the ´Born to Play´ brand. Having already launched in store the product range is also expected to retail soon in the online store at www.kleineprinzessin.tv.

Based on the international best-selling children's picture books by award-winning author and illustrator Tony Ross, Little Princess is a 65 x 11' animation series for children between 2-6 years old and currently airs on Milkshake!, FIVE and has already sold to over 165 countries worldwide.
