The Licensing Machine has a broad portfolio of popular, quality content - including Naruto, Deltora Quest, Death Note, D.Gray-Man, FullMetal Alchemist, Darker Than Black, Paradise Kiss and Mizz, among others – which will be officially available to the YouTube community. The agreement is aimed to ensure that The Licensing Machine’s portfolio is properly and strategically managed - not only through traditional channels but also through YouTube, which facilitates interaction with fans and promotes creativity. The Licensing Machine Director Ms Giusy Panari said, “Our intention is to make sure that TV programmes and movies are well communicated - through the web as well as via traditional methods of distribution. So we are happy to work with YouTube and reaffirm the culture of copyright protection, something that is paramount to Panini’s and TLM’s philosophy.” Affirming its commitment to copyright protection and to using new, innovative technologies, Panini’s division will be using YouTube's VideoID technology to manage and protect its content on the platform. “We have developed a revolutionary technology that allows content owners who embrace our platform, like Panini, to find content they own on YouTube and choose what to do with it with a click of a mouse: whether to monetize, or take down. Panini is joining over 300 YouTube partners who have adopted this tool, including CBS, Lionsgate, Electronic Arts, Sony BMG Europe, and AFP”, said Patrick Walker, YouTube's Director of Partnerships for EMEA.
