Nickelodeon And Viacom Consumer Products Appoints Gavin Metcalfe To Vice President International Home Entertainment

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP), a division of MTV Networks, announced today that Gavin Metcalfe has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President for International Home Entertainment. Based in London, Metcalfe reports to Jean-Philippe Randisi, Senior Vice President & MD for Canada, Europe & Latin America and Sherice Torres, Senior Vice President of Global Home Entertainment and Music, (NVCP). Also newly appointed to Director, International Home Entertainment in London is Duncan Hamilton, who reports directly to Metcalfe.

In this role, Metcalfe is responsible for managing, in coordination with Torres and Randisi, one of Viacom's most profitable global retail businesses - the home entertainment portfolio. Metcalfe oversees MTV Network's international home entertainment across children, youth and adult brands including: Nickelodeon; Nick Jr.; MTV and Comedy Central. In addition to facilitating the business and creative ends of home entertainment distribution including release schedules, marketing plans and product development, Metcalfe works in close collaboration with MTVNI’s network of channels throughout the world to develop strategic support around key releases. Metcalfe also oversees New York based International Home Entertainment team including Douglas Drohan, Eleanor Lan, and Celine Texier-Rose. MTVN’s Home Entertainment group manages relationships with global distribution partners such as Paramount Home Entertainment.

Prior to joining MTV Networks, Metcalfe was Senior Director, International Home Entertainment for HIT Entertainment Ltd. where he was responsible for all sales and business development for the Home Entertainment business in Europe, Middle East & Asia. During his tenure at HIT, Metcalfe helped drive double digit revenue growth and led an award winning library of product including three industry (HEW) awards and the UK’s Best Selling Christmas Pre-school Video in 2004.
