BIG BOCCA Productions is proud to acknowledge that its soon-to-be-released property, Huntik: Secrets and Seekers, has won the first prize of the fifth annual MIPCOM Junior Licensing Challenge this past week-end.

Huntik: Secrets and Seekers is an original action adventure property, developed through a partnership between Big Bocca Productions, leading animation studio Rainbow S.p.A., and production company m4e AG. The animated series has been co-produced with Rai 2 in Italy and will debut in January 09. It will also be launched in North America on The CW4Kids network on January 3, 2009, in Germany on RTL2 in February 09, in Finland on MTV3 in 2009, in Greece on Alter TV in Q1 2009, in Israel on Noga in 2009, in South Africa on MNET in 2009 and in Australia on Network 10 in March 09 followed by the release of the trading card game in March, 2009. In partnership with License! Global, the prestigious MIPCOM Junior Licensing Challenge award is given to the best TV property of the year, as selected by an international panel of judges. Huntik: Secrets and Seekers was chosen as one of two winners from a pool of 84 entries worldwide. The grand prize winner has been selected based on a variety of criteria, including uniqueness of the property, distribution plans, licensing and merchandising potential, and suitability for target audience.
