The most important spring event brings together licensees, industry and retail on March 18th, 2009 in Cologne, Germany. At the sixth Day of Licenses licensors and agencies again present their outstanding properties. In tight time slots of 15-25 minutes the industry will reveal their best brands, outstanding characters and promising properties from entertainment, TV, movie and sports.

In 2008 about 600 visitors came at LIMA Germany’s invitation and joined for the “Day of Licenses” in Cologne. And also in 2009 LIMA Germany is able to provide a promising schedule. “You will be thrilled by latest creations, promotions and marketing campaigns“, said Heike Winner, managing director, LIMA Germany. In 2009 visitors may expect really exciting presentations. From 8 am to 7 pm orators will introduce their favourites. Neither Rangreihen, nor size of an agency decide on the schedule – so the audience will hear interesting speeches in the morning as well as in the afternoon – useful information guaranteed throughout the day! The programme challenges the audience’s concentration as well as the orators’ presentation skills – they will have to provide brilliant, outstanding stage performances to leave a lasting impression. At the end of the day, each visitor will receive a CD-Rom featuring all presentations, so that no one will miss important information. The orators’ list for 2009 features names like Celebrities Entertainment, Telepool, Super RTL, Euro Lizenzen, g.l.a.m., TV Loonland, CTM, m4e, MTV, TLC, Bavaria Sonor, Gateway4m, Mattel, JCP Jetix Consumer Products, DFL, Studio100 Media, Copyright Promotions, Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Kiddinx, ZDF Enterprises, Kauka, Gorian, Bruno Productions, MM MerchandisingMedia and Welt der Wunder. The programme introduces well-established licenses as well as new successful brands and properties, thus covering the whole range from preschool to the adult market. Traditionally, also retailers take their chance to get new ideas for second exploitation. Top-class manufacturers come to Cologne to gather information on the future potential of licensing business.

The event takes place on 18 March 2009 at the Rheinterrassen/Tanzbrunnen in Cologne. The location provides a perfect atmosphere for important talks alongside the tight programme. Sponsors like Bip Holland, Ehapa, Copyright Promotions, Fipo Gruppe, Foreign Media, Super RTL, TV Mania, United Labels, ZDF Enterprises and MTV Nickelodeon support this major industry event, and enable LIMA Germany to provide light snacks and refreshments for all visitors. Following the busy Day of Licenses, all LIMA members may continue networking and socializing at the exclusive LIMA Spring Festival in Cologne’s Wolkenburg.
