New series already commissioned by FIVE´s Milkshake!

TV-Loonland and The Illuminated Film Company today announced that they have furthered an already strong partnership in producing a third season of the multi-award winning animated pre-school show, LITTLE PRINCESS. Continuing the worldwide success of the first two series and two additional 22 minute specials, now airing in over 165 countries, the third season commissioned by Five’s Milkshake! will feature 35 additional 11 minutes episodes introducing a number of new characters and locations. A total of 104 episodes will therefore be airing across the globe from 2010 following the series premiere on Milkshake!.

In addition to the established UK Celebrity cast, voice artists Jane Horrocks and Julian Clary are joined by much-loved British film actor and TV personality Brian Blessed, playing larger than life character Great Uncle Walter, who debuted in the LITTLE PRINCESS Winter Special – A Merry Little Christmas.

Fans can look forward to meeting new friends in the Kingdom; 4 year old Algernon, the Maid´s nephew, and headstrong Horace the Shetland Pony.

New themes, additional locations such as the seaside and Great Uncle Walters castle, and a wider view of Little Princess’s world guarantees to capture the imagination of viewers, making the third season as appealing as the first two series.

Iain Harvey, Producer at the Illuminated Film Company said: “On any long running series, the strength of the story-telling is crucial. We are blessed with a wonderful and imaginative team of writers that will ensure our Little Princess will go from strength to strength – at least, that’s what she told me in her breaks between play!”

Olivier Dumont, Managing Director at TV-Loonland commented: ”Given the proven brand value of LITTLE PRINCESS to date and the continued strong support from Five by commissioning the third series, there was absolutely no doubt about our involvement in the production of a third season. TV-Loonland has been managing the brand from it’s infancy in 2006 and in the past three years LITTLE PRINCESS has showcased our approach towards successfully sourcing new projects and moving them to established brands.”
