Brian Blessed And Little Princess Announce Third Series And New Product Launch At Toy Fair 2009

Following my debut as Great Uncle Walter in the Christmas special, it is with great pleasure that I accepted the opportunity of joining Little Princess for Series 3. I enjoyed shouting about it at Toy Fair along with the launch of the new Little Princess toy range – ‘Born to Play’ is the order of the day!”

TV-Loonland, the company recognised for managing kids brands worldwide, and The Illuminated Film Company are proud to announce Series 3 of the critically acclaimed pre-school show Little Princess. The much-loved British actor and TV personality, Brian Blessed, will make a special appearance at Toy Fair on Wednesday 28 January 2009 to celebrate Five’s commission of Series 3 and the launch of the new Little Princess Spring/Summer product lines by Martin Yaffe International under the ‘Born to Play’ brand.

Continuing the worldwide success of the first two series, now airing in over 165 countries, and two 22 minute TV specials, the third season will premiere later this year on Five’s Milkshake!, introducing a number of new characters and locations in 35 additional episodes. A total of 104 episodes will therefore be airing across the globe from 2010. Fans can look forward to new themes and characters in the new series including the larger than life Great Uncle Walter voiced by Brian Blessed, following his debut in the Christmas TV Special which premiered at the end of 2008 on Five’s Milkshake!

Under the Born to Play brand, Martin Yaffe International will be launching a range of items from the spring/summer collection at Toy Fair 2009 and in store February 2009. The range will include four assorted themed Little Princess beanies dressed in different outfits, such as a nurse’s uniform, pirate outfit, rain coat and her usual dress; a set of three beanies featuring Gilbert and Little Princess as well as a Little Princess Greenhouse Play House, based on the greenhouse in the show, plus lunchware and play balls. New plush and pram sets are planned for autumn/winter 2009.

The TV show has been sold in over 165 countries to date.
