David Auerbach Named President of Rive Gauche Television

Top Television Executive To Spearhead Company’s Original Programming
Push For US and International Markets

David Auerbach has joined Rive Gauche Television as President it was announced today by Jon Kramer, Chairman and CEO of Rive Gauche Television.

David Auerbach joins Rive Gauche Television as a partner with a proven track record of developing successful programming for network prime time, cable, first run syndication and the Internet. As a programming executive for Warner Bros., he was responsible for developing, selling and overseeing production of more than 330 hours of prime time reality programming and more than 3,000 hours for first run syndication.

“Rive Gauche has been exploring different ways in which we could continue to grow our television business, and when the opportunity arose to partner with David Auerbach we immediately seized upon it. David will bring his singular experience in all facets of television development and production, along with his vast network of relationships with producers, talent, agencies and buyers to his new role with Rive Gauche. Mark Rafalowski who has done a great job selling four new shows in the last year, will continue to head up our development and acquisition efforts reporting to David. Under David’s leadership, Rive Gauche Television is poised for an exciting future,” said Kramer.

During his eighteen months (2006-2008) as Senior Vice President for Warner Horizon Television, Auerbach helped grow the company from one series at a single network to nine series and four pilots across eight different networks. His credits include, The Bachelor (ABC), Randy Jackson presents: America’s Best Dance Crew (MTV), True Beauty (ABC), Here Come the Newlyweds (ABC) and High School Reunion (TV Land).

As Senior Vice President of Programming and New Media for Telepictures Productions (1991-2006), he served as a key member of the creative team responsible for launching 18 new series in syndication including; Extra, Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres, Tyra Banks, Judge Mathis, Elimidate, Street Smarts and Change of Heart. In new media, he was the creative executive in charge of the development and launch of TMZ.com, which has quickly become a global brand and distinguished itself as one of the few successful web properties to emerge from the traditional media industry.

Prior to joining Warner Bros., Auerbach held senior-level programming positions as Vice President of Drama Development for Viacom Productions and as Executive Vice President of Alan Landsburg Productions. Auerbach got his start as a producer working on sitcoms with Witt-Thomas Productions and one hour scripted series such as Dynasty and The Love Boat for Aaron Spelling Productions.
