Series three of Fifi and the Flowertots and series two of Roary the Racing Car will be available

Target Entertainment Group, the leading production and rights management company, will be debuting series three of Fifi and the Flowertots and series two of Roary the Racing Car at MipTV.

The hit pre-school shows were designed and developed by Bob the Builder creator Keith Chapman, and are produced by Chapman Entertainment.

Fifi and the Flowertots is about an inquisitive little Flowertot who lives in a colourful garden world with her friends. In the third series she will be joined by two new characters, Buttercup and Daisy.

Target has the international TV rights to Fifi and the Flowertots, for which 104x10’ episodes are now available.

The series airs in the UK on Five’s pre-school block Milkshake! – where it is the second most popular show with girls and the third most popular show with boys – and on Nick Jr.

Internationally it has sold to broadcasters in over 162 territories and licensing rights have been concluded with over 90 licensees. According to December’s NPD data, Fifi and the Flowertots is the number one girl’s preschool license in the UK.

Roary The Racing Car, narrated by racing legend Sir Stirling Moss, is a fast-paced stop frame CGI animation series about a cheeky little racing car and his friends who explore the excitement and perils of life in and around Silver Hatch racetrack, watched over by father-figure mechanic Big Chris (voiced by Peter Kay), and Marsha the Track Marshall.

Series two (52x10’) will introduce new characters to the series including Breeze - a lively, free-spirited Australian beach buggie, a gadget car called James, Mr Carburettor’s mother, Mama Mia, Marsha’s brother, PC Pete and Nick, a young police car. Also airing on Milkshake!, Roary the Racing Car is consistently ranked as one of its top performing shows. In 2008, it was the fastest growing pre-school boys’ brand in the UK and Target Entertainment Group has now sold the show to over 110 countries worldwide.

Jane Dockery, director of sales and programming, Target Entertainment Group said: “We’re delighted to be bringing new episodes of these hit shows to MipTV. Both Roary and Fifi have sold exceptionally well internationally and we think buyers will jump at the chance to acquire the latest series.”

Greg Lynn, managing director, Chapman Entertainment said: “We are very proud of both Roary The Racing Car and Fifi and the Flowertots, and we’re confident that both new series will be as well received internationally, as they are in the UK.”
