BRB Internacional will announce at the coming edition of MIPTV new sales of its series Papawa to two of the most important open-broadcasting channels in southern Europe, Mediaset in Italy and RTP in Portugal. Additionally and beyond Europe, the series, considered one of today’s most avant-garde, is set to begin airing at the end of the year on other continents, in such places as Malasia and Brunei via satellite on Astro TV.
The TV Series Papawa, produced in Catalonia by Screen 21 and co-produced by Televisió de Catalunya, is aimed at a target audience between the ages of 6 and 10. Available in two formats (104x7’ y 52x13’), it distills tons of humor through an original cut-out style sitcom narrative and features photographic textures that give special relevancy to sound. The story is set on a Paradise island inhabited by nightmarish inhabitants.
