ZDF Enterprises Sales Team brings top-notch portfolio of fact and fiction to MIP TV

ZDF Enterprises - March 2009

ZDF Enterprises, the international sales arm of Germany's ZDF, is bringing a stunning collection of fiction and documentary programs to this year's television trade fair MIP TV in Cannes (30 March - 3 April). Topping the line-up is a truly one-of-a-kind library of documentaries and docu-dramas focusing on the years 1939 and 1989, the 70th anniversary of the start of World War II and the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. With new productions such as Busting the Berlin Wall (2 x 52') and Stauffenberg - The True Story (1 x 52'), ZDF Enterprises bolsters its reputation as the world's leading source of programs on the half century between these two fateful dates.

On the fiction front, Sweden's Verdict Revised (12 x 43') promises Scandinavian chills despite its hot leading man: Swedish heartthrob Mikael Persbrandt ("Beck") stars as a charismatic and brilliant lawyer who's also a tormented and cynical human being. He and his law students take on the cases of convicted felons who claim that they're innocent. Never clear-cut, their cases are often laced with doubt and moral ambiguity.

Playing out in spectacular Alpine settings and sumptuous mansions, the romances of the Bastei Collection (6 x 90') whisk viewers into an eye-catchingly beautiful world of love and heartbreak. Translated into 15 languages and boasting sales of over 40 millions copies in Europe alone, the novels of the Bastei publishing house are now making their screen debut in six adaptations featuring appealing and well-known stars.
