![]() MTV Networks International, a division of Viacom Inc., has announced the promotion of Nina Hahn from Vice President to Senior Vice President of International Production and Development for Nickelodeon. Based in London, Hahn will continue to report to Steve Grieder, Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon International, who made today’s announcement. Hahn adds made-for-TV movies to her current global development and production remit as well as sourcing UK live action series, in partnership with Nickelodeon UK, for potential US development. Core to Hahn’s new role is further expanding Nickelodeon’s global development process by managing all internationally sourced productions from pilot through to series, directly connect Nickelodeon’s regional and US production pipeline, represent Nickelodeon US’s production interests abroad and identify where resources and expertise are placed to drive creative partnerships and cultivate talent. Key Nickelodeon executives working closely with Hahn to drive this strategy are Brown Johnson, President of Animation and Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President for Development and Original Programming from Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group in the US and Howard Litton, SVP and Managing Director of Nickelodeon in the UK. In addition to reporting directly to Grieder, Hahn will co-report to Brown, Cohn and Litton in their respective development areas. “Nina is one of the most respected executives and creative leaders in the development arena, known for her ability to spot great, creative properties that resonate and deliver with global audiences,” Grieder said. “As Nickelodeon continues to expand we are presented with extensive opportunities to tap incredible creative offerings and talent from every part of the world and Nina is exactly the right person to identify and produce these projects for use on our global platforms.” Hahn is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in creating and producing content for kids. Since joining Nickelodeon in 2005, Hahn has been the driving force behind establishing Nickelodeon as a core hub for creators and talent outside the US. Her creative leadership has delivered three short form series for Nick’s global channels (Hero, Domo Kun, Oasis) as well as the long-form development of Purple & Brown. As the main international development conduit for Nickelodeon’s channels, Hahn also ensures the cultural relevancy of all Nick productions. Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Hahn worked as an independent producer and development consultant for some of the world’s leading kid content producers including Nick Jr., TEENnick, Decode Entertainment and Sunbow Entertainment. Hahn began her career as a development manager for Jim Henson Productions in New York. |
