Disney Consumer Products present their second Retail Expo in Düsseldorf

Disney Consumer Products - May 2009

The Disney Retail Expo is an exclusive opportunity for retail partners to get first-hand information on the wide product portfolio of Disney’s licensees.

On 24 and 25 June 2009 Disney Consumer Products (DCP) invite their retail partners to the second Disney Retail Expo at Station Airport in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event provides an exclusive preview of the Disney product range for the next 18 months, including apparel, food, health & beauty, home, stationary and toys. Retailers have free entrance and will be able to order products on the spot.

“The positive feedback last year supports us in our decision to present the whole Disney product portfolio at our own show. Retailers get first-hand information on our brand and product worlds and have the unique opportunity to make new contacts and exchange ideas with licensees and buyers”, said Ulla Pöllinger, Director Sales DCP.

Fans around the world are thrilled by Disney’s franchises and characters: With products for infants and preschool children, teenagers and young adults as well as product collections tailor-made for grown-ups DCP attract a large target group. In contrast to other trade events, buyers will get first-hand information on all product ranges of DCP in Düsseldorf. Girls aged between 6 and 9 may especially look forward to many new products accompanying the stories around Disney Princess and Disney Fairies. Disney Cars enjoys rising popularity with boys of the same age. Now they eagerly await the theatrical release of Toy Story 3 in 2010. DCP plans to strengthen their position on the youth market in Germany by launching several new products. Visitors to the show will also see how the Walt Disney Company promotes their key franchises including Mickey Mouse and Winnie Pooh throughout the categories and age groups.

“We are happy to be able to present our broad product portfolio at the Second Disney Retail Expo and reveal new marketing concepts for our strongest brands. In the toy category we introduce several exciting innovations around “Handy Manny” that will certainly set new trends on the market”, said Gabriele Wehlert-Wozniak, Director Toys & CE Germany, Switzerland, Austria, DCP.
