Licensing International Expo Weekly News

Licensing Int'l Expo - May 2009

The Industry's Biggest Event is Almost Here

It's time to get excited — just two weeks until showtime! As licensed consumer products continue to beat expectations and fly off retail shelves, the world's top brand owners and licensors are preparing to unveil new deals and licensing programs — and they've chosen Licensing International Expo 2009 for the big reveal.

We can't wait. We've been working every day to fine-tune every detail, from travel and hotel arrangements to special events and exclusive features — ensuring the best possible experience for you and our exhibitors. At the beginning of the month, we announced the move to one contiguous show floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The new layout brings real benefits:

You'll always be close to the action — one floor concentrates the buzz in one place.
The show's new interactive area, fashion pavilion and fashion shows, café and lounges are easily accessible.
Attendees and exhibitors accustomed to the single-floor experience will make a smoother transition to Vegas.
We're confident you'll agree that our improvements have made the show better than ever.

Veteran Show Director Finds a New Home

Big plans need experienced leaders, so it's with great pleasure that we welcome Liz Crawford as show director.

Crawford previously served as group director for Questex Media, overseeing the Home Entertainment expos, International Hotel Investment Forum, HotelWorld and the Russia Hotel Investment Conference. She has more than 24 years of experience in the B2B trade show industry, serving the home entertainment, hospitality, call center and technology markets. Crawford has launched new trade shows into global markets, as well as international marketing campaigns in support of trade show brands.

"We're excited to have Liz on board," says eorgiann DeCenzo, executive vice president of Advanstar Communications. "I've known her for 11 years. She's a savvy veteran. Wide-ranging experience with conventions across the world and a close familiarity with the licensing industry make Liz an ideal show director for Licensing International Expo."
