  • Germany
    Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has inked a brand new 2-year deal with Mercopol which will see Nickelodeon hit animations, Avatar: The Legend of Aang and SpongeBob SquarePants licensed for use on a variety of different products aimed at kids including 3D plush and nylon backpacks, stationery, alarm clocks, key rings with LED light, toilet bags, hair brushes and combs, wooden table and chair sets. The branded goods will be available at department stores, food and grocery shops and mass market toy shops across Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Programme Sales

  • MTV Networks International has signed several first-ever programme sales deals across its VH1, MTV and CMT brands:
    • VH1’s photographic reality show, The Shot, will launch in Belgium (JIM TV) and Malaysia (NTV7) later this year. Meanwhile, the brand’s VH1 Storytellers: Kid Rock has been picked up by SF in Switzerland, along with CMT’s Crossroads: Def Leppard & Taylor Swift.
    • MTV’s Room 101, executive produced by Ashton Kutcher, will air on Malaysia’s NTV7 for the first time this year.
    • Bulgaria’s GTV has relicensed Ashton Kutcher hosted prank show, Punk’d and MTV’s Boiling Points.
