Heading into this year’s Licensing Show, Adness Entertainment has partnered with NAMCO BANDAI Games, Inc. to create video games for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight as was announced today by Takeshi Okajima, Director of Licensing for the U.S. and Canada.

NAMCO BANDAI Games, Inc. will be creating Kamen Rider Dragon Knight games for handheld and console platforms, which will be published throughout North and South America by its subsidiary company, D3Publisher. The video games are set to debut in retail stores this November 2009.

“We are continually looking for creative and interesting ways to extend the Kamen Rider brand, and by building up the series with merchandising deals such as the one with NAMCO BANDAI Games, we’re able to not only grow our business, but grow our property beyond the TV screen,” said Okajima.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is a live-action television show following the adventures of teenager Kit Taylor, who discovers a mysterious deck of Advent Cards that grant him the power to transform into an armored warrior called a Kamen Rider. He joins his comrade, Kamen Rider Wing Knight, to battle the alien renegade warlord, General Xaviax, and his army in both the real world and an alternate reality called Ventara, or the Mirror World.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is based on the original series, “Kamen Rider Ryuki,” produced by Toei Company and aired in Japan in 2002. “Kamen Rider” written by Shotaro Ishinomori, is the most popular and successful live-action series for kids in Japan of all time. First introduced in Japan in 1971, it is still a top rated show after 38 years and counting. It has spawned an unprecedented number of television and theatrical sequels.

Produced and distributed by Adness Entertainment, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is currently airing in the U.S. Saturday mornings on TheCW4Kids. The series also is scheduled to air in European and Latin American countries starting this fall.

Already being on board as the Master Toy Licensee, a full toy line for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight manufactured by Bandai America Incorporated is scheduled to be in stores all over the nation beginning June 2009 - featuring a large variety of boys’ action figures, vehicles and role play accessories.

At Licensing International, Adness Entertainment will be exhibiting at booth #1417.
