Monster Jam features racing action and freestyle stunts from the best known names in monster truck competition, including Grave Digger®, Maximum Destruction®, Blue Thunder®, Captain’s Curse® and Monster Mutt®. Monster Jam is the most popular live touring event that combines motor sports and family entertainment. The brand and its action-packed live shows have been a staple in North America for many years and its international business is growing rapidly. Monster Jam’s official worldwide licensed merchandise program continues to grow with the addition of new licensees across product categories. Pentra SP is on board to develop back-to-school and stationery products which are scheduled to be distributed in Q1 2010 in Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Latvia. In addition, Uitgeverij de Stulp will produce greeting cards and stickers that are expected to launch in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in late 2009, while Big Balloon Publishers will produce a Monster Jam poster magazine that is currently scheduled to launch in the Netherlands and Belgium this summer. The new consumer products licensing deals will tap into the excitement surrounding the 2009 Monster Jam tour of Europe, which kicked off in Chorzow, Poland May 30 and Cardiff, Wales June 6. Monster Jam will make its return to Gothenburg, Sweden this Saturday, June 13. Later in the year, the Monster Jam will head to Arnhem, Holland September 26 - 27, followed by shows at the Estadio Olimpico in Barcelona October 9-11, Helsinki, Finland October 30 – November 1, and a three-show tour finale in Stockholm, Sweden on November 14 – 15. More tour dates are expected to be announced by Feld Motor Sports later in the year. “The Monster Jam tour in Europe is creating a great deal of interest in the brand, which has been reflected in the wide range of licensing deals that have been signed recently. 2009 is proving to be a Monster year!” said Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, Managing Director of 4Kids Entertainment International, LTD.
