Rive Gauche Television has acquired the international distribution rights for Operation Repo, the ground breaking reality series that takes audiences into the heart-pumping, adrenaline-charged world of repossession, it was announced today by David Auerbach, President of Rive Gauche Television. Operation Repo is the #1 rated show on TruTV and the #1 rated US cable show on Monday nights in Men 18-49. The first 26 episodes have performed so well that TruTV has recently ordered 52 additional episodes bringing the total number of 30-minute episodes to 78. Produced by Tariq Jalil and Francisco Aguilar, Operation Repo began as a Spanish language hit series airing on Telemundo. Witnessing its success, TruTV tested the concept with its English speaking audience by airing a series of repurposed and sub-titled specials. The specials performed so well that TruTV quickly ordered 26 episodes to be produced in English with a significantly higher budget. The TruTV series has proven so successful that Rive Gauche Television now has the exclusive international distribution rights for the first three seasons (78 x 30 min).
