Programme Sales

MTV Networks International has signed several brand new deals from its catalogue of high-profile music awards shows, as well as relicensing and inking deals for new episodes of Nickelodeon programming across Europe and Latin America:

In Asia, Malaysia’s TV8 has picked up the recent MTV Movie Awards 2009 featuring man of the moment, Bruno, with CCTV3 in China licensing the MTV Europe Music Awards 2008. Upcoming Los Premios 2009 and the Video Music Awards 2009 will broadcast on Campus TV Hondurena (Honduras) and the recent BET Awards 2009 have been picked up by key Scandinavian broadcasters, TV2 (Denmark) and TV Norge (Norway).

Following its huge success around the world, Mediaset in Italy has picked up a second series of Nickelodeon’s iCarly, the first-ever scripted series to incorporate kid-created original content into a live action tween show. Pre-school hit shows, Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go!, are flying high in Colombia with the latter set to broadcast for the first-time on Caracol TV and new seasons, plus a special of the former, to air on Senal Colombia. Seasons 1-2 of Nickelodeon’s Kappa Mikey will launch on Mexico’s Canal Once this year and in a multi-territory deal with Belleville, hit shows, Avatar and Fairly Odd Parents will broadcast across the region.
