High tech for child rooms: 32-bit processor with 200 megahertz, Bluetooth radio interface, display and compact casing with convenient fischertechnik slots. That’s the plain facts of the new fischertechnik ROBO TX Controller (Euros 199.95). The new Controller in combination with the update software ROBO Pro is compatible with all fischertechnik model kits. The new control unit is the key element of the fischertechnik COMPUTING construction kit ROBO TX Training Lab (available from September/Euros 299.95). This kit comes with an introductory booklet and provides children aged 10+ with everything they need to build six different models and thus enter the world of mobile robots. |
With inbuilt USB interface and Bluetooth radio interface the ROBO TX Controller facilitates communication between computer and fischertechnik model robots. The high-capacity 32-bit processor (200 megahertz) features innovative universal inputs, that can be used both digital and analogue. Thanks to digital inputs with fast counting pulses and motor outputs the control unit is able to digitalize control commands and process incoming sensor signals in real time.
Due to the characteristic fischertechnik slots and a compact size of 90 x 90 x 15 millimetres, space-saving ROBO TX Controller can be easily integrated into all fischertechnik models and opens up a whole new world of opportunities.
With eight megabyte RAM capacity and two megabyte flash the ROBO TX Controller is able to store several different programmes at the same time. Programmes may be retrieved and started via control display. What is more, the display also provides information on settings and allows changing them.
Additional ROBO TX Controllers can be coupled via expansion connections to enlarge the number of inputs and outputs. The integrated Bluetooth radio interface enables the control unit to communicate with other Bluetooth devices or up to seven additional ROBO TX. |

fischertechnik not only focus on play fun and educational value but also on high quality. All fischertechnik construction kits are made in Germany at fischergroup’s headquarters in Waldachtal. Only few electric components are delivered by suppliers from outside the European Union.
fischertechnik´s components are basically made of thermoplastics (ABS, PA, POM and TPE). The plastics as well as colour pigments comply with regulatory requirements and European standards for toy safety. What is more, all fischertechnik products are regularly controlled by independent testing institutes. |
