Licensing with Splattitude gathers pace! (Summer 2009)

International

Viva España! Sub agency partner Carmen Ariza Licensing is managing growing interest and activity in the Iberian peninsular. FT Champs (famed for their football collectibles) are launching The Bogies (Los Mokis) this summer and Autumn. Initial ranges (launched this summer) include licensed distribution of the core UK Bogie key chains, Pocket Bogies and Bogie Plush but NPD is planned for new characters, packaging and support marketing activity (including TV advertising) in Spain for Christmas 2009.
E-Max – Spanish and Portuguese translations of the English Bogies Sticker album (see UK update) and trading card collectibles will be published in Spain and Portugal Spring 2010
North America – New sub agency partner Jewel Branding and Licensing is partnering with Ignition and The Bogies to spread the craze in the US and Canada. The partnership was inked in Vegas and Jewel are starting to prepare the ground for product launches during 2010 and into 2011.

The Bogies brand stood out among many brands I reviewed to represent because of its originality and creativity and I am looking forward to leveraging the successes the UK has had into North America” says Jewel CEO Julie Newman.
Italy: Giochi Preziosi have signed up their collectible subsidiary Grani & Partners for Pan European vending machine capsule collectibles and amusement plush for Italy only. Spring 2010 will see Grani and Partners working alongside The Bogies throughout Europe. In Italy, the launch will also be accompanied by a special Italian language Bogies magazine.
Middle East – growing numbers of Bogie fans are hitting the website www.thebogies.com from the Middle East, so Ignition is commencing research for sub agency representation from this territory. Any interested parties, please contact Maggy Harris at Ignition Licensing.

Initial Easter 09 trial goes to bulk from July 09 with 2 new kids Bogie T Shirts featuring the Bogie Gang and Splatman and Gobbin designs. The deal has recently been extended to include bedding, board shorts, long sleeved tops and sweatshirts.
TDP Aykroyd sign for childrens’ Pyjamas and Underwear for all retail – launching s/s 2010.
Other apparel licenses in negotiation for adult T shirts and fashion wear and Kids outerwear for s/s 2010 launch.
E-Max will be launching the first Bogies sticker album and collectible stickers throughout the UK in September 20 to be followed by a trading card collection in Spring 2010.
