New UK Licensees and International Sub Agents join the ever growing Pet Poets Club International
- Lavish Rights have appointed Stella Projects in Australia and New Zealand to develop the Pet Poets Club down under. Grahame Grassby of Stella is “delighted to be bringing this great brand” to the Aussie market. “It’s a no brainer as pets and cute are consistent winners in our market”. Stella are working with Lavish and Ignition to distribute existing UK licensee product as well as to develop home grown licensees with 2010 product launches in mind.
- In the North American market, Jewel Branding & Licensing have had a terrific response to the launch of Pet Poets Club this year. Skyhigh are signed to launch stationery and back to school product during 2010 and subsequent to the Vegas show Jewel expect publishing and dated stationery deals to be confirmed imminently for 2010 launch. “The combination of adorable photography and poetry is a great package for Licensees” says Julie Newman, President of Jewel.

State of the art online approvals process gives Pet Poets Club the edge
- Online creative resource and approvals.... The Pet Poets Club library of wonderful imagery, background prints, icons and poetry is now available online in a state of the art new creative website designed to make the creative process and approvals so much easier. There are hundreds of images and poems on line and it’s one of a very few design and art brands to choose this online approvals route. “It’s a brilliant facility and makes life so much easier for the Licensee and Licensor” states Marc Todd, creator of Pet Poets Club and Lavish Rights MD.
- The Greetings Factory launched a range of 12 everyday and 6 boxed packs of Pet Poet Club Christmas cards this Spring and Clinton Cards are the first to sign up to stock their everyday card range which went in store end June.
- Holland Publishing under their Little Star Creations imprint launched a range of 9 adorable social expression Gift books at the London Book Fair and first product is expected in store end of the summer. They will also be creating some gorgeous girlie activity books for Spring 10 publication. These formats take their lead from the great popularity the brand is experiencing through Pink magazine which regularly feature Pet Poets Club canine stars and popular competitions for girls.
- New Pet Poets parody gets the thumbs up from UK companies: Fabulously funny pet parodies such as The Dogfather and Mamma Miaow have been well received by potential licensees looking for that different edge within the successful cute pet genre and will be showcased at Brand Licensing show in October at Ignition’s stand (130). Lavish will also be showcasing a new soccer themed collection, designed to tie-in with next year’s Soccer World Cup.
