Licensing Market 2009: Sold Out!

LIMA Germany - September 2009

Just a few weeks to go and European licensing industry meets in Germany for the Licensing Market 2009. And although many still enjoy their summer holidays, the show floor is already fully booked, as Hong Kong Trade Fair just reserved the last space available. On 4 November top-class licensees and licensors once more take over info points, exclusive showrooms and the show floor at Bayerischer Hof in Munich.

The exhibitors list features key players of European licensing business, including Bavaria Sonor Musikverlag & Merchandising, Copyright Promotions, CTM Concept-TV & Merchandising, Euro Lizenzen, Warner Bros. Entertainment and WDR Mediagroup Licensing. Licensees like BIP Holland,Global Labels, Kaufmann Neuheiten, Nici, p:os, The Cookie Company, United Labels and many more display their licensed products at the Atrium.

All exhibitors have their own info point and many have booked additional show rooms to present their product portfolio and licensing opportunities in detail. This year, The Walt Disney Company reserved even two rooms to introduce their licensed properties from the categories toys, home & living, AAF and stationery.

Super RTL again present their licensing highlights at the Königssaal, including top-sellers like TOGGO, Transformers, The Smurfs, Disney‘s Kim Possible, Skunk Fu, Ruby Gloom, Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, and many more.

MM Merchandising Media display their properties against the glamorous background of the Falks Bar. Amongst others, they present their channels Sat.1, ProSieben, successful formats like Germany's next Topmodel, Popstars, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and their brands PLAYBOY, FIT FOR FUN, WE LOVE….

The great demand for exhibition space and the quality of participants attest to the fact that the Licensing Market has long become a fixed date in the diary of licensing professionals in Germany and abroad.

Not only thanks to top-class exhibitors. Market players also look forwards to the annual presentation of the coveted LIMA Germany Awards in the course of the glamorous Cocktail & Dinner Party that rounds off the day. All nominees – licensed properties and promotion campaigns – will be at the show. Will Hannah Montana be License of the Year or rather Hello Kitty, Princess Lillifee or Sponge Bob? All LIMA members now decide on who wins the awards and vote for their favourites in different categories.
