Of course, this year Bruno Productions have also exhibited during other licensing events. During the ‘Tag der Lizenzen’ (Lima) on March 18th, Cologne was the place to present old and new properties and to talk about licensing opportunities. They signed up as one of the speakers to show their newest properties to the hundreds of visitors. Bruno Productions is happy to say that this Lima day was a very successful day for Bruno Productions!

On April 7th Bruno Productions exhibited for the first time at the Kazachok Licensing Forum in Paris. They showed the properties Angel Cat Sugar, Soft Spots, Wooly and Babelle. This Forum was a very good opportunity to get more visibility in the French market. End of this year Bruno Productions will also have a booth during the Italian Kazachok Licensing Forum. This Forum will be held on November 10th, more news will follow later.

The designer of Wooly, Dick Hoogeveen, has extended the style guide with a lot of new artwork. There is a now a fully developed, very beautiful style guide which makes the property suitable for all kinds of products. Curious? Don’t hesitate to contact Bruno Productions.

Bruno Productions is proud to present a new property: Calimero!

This lovable black chicken is a character that children can relate to best - reasonable, generous, perhaps a bit naïve at times but always loyal. This retro brand, well-known by adults from their childhood, returns to educate and entertain a new generation as it did many years ago. Calimero is the only black one in a family of yellow chickens. You can recognise him because of the white scratched egg-shell on his head; after he was born he never took it off. He lets himself be carried away by the enthusiasm of others, but his good practical sense helps him to counter his friends’ rashness. He is very patient but at times he also loses his temper, especially when there is a matter of injustice and he manages to show his colours with success. The story behind Calimero is one of friendship, family, community and good feelings. There are no monsters, disasters or enemies to fight and defeat, the only things you must contend with are Piero’s tricks. Dangerous or frightening situations that can happen always turn out to be positive. Sometimes risks are only imaginary, like children’s daydreams that disappear when they wake up. In the eighties and nineties this brave little chicken was a phenomenon amongst children because of the TV series and merchandising. Do you want to know more about this property? Bruno Productions is proud to present the second Arthur movie “Arthur and the revenge of Maltazard”.

The second movie made by Luc Besson (known from his movies Taxi, The Fifth Element and Léon) will be with voices of Madonna, Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed and Fergie and Will.I.Am of the group Black Eyed Peas. Angel Cat Sugar’s first foray into videogames will arrive in Europe this fall, publisher/ distributor Rising Star Games confirmed beginning this month. Angel Cat Sugar will be released on Nintendo DS and PC-CD in Europe and Australia. Stockholm based developer/publisher PANVISION AB will publish and distribute the Nintendo DS and PC-CD versions throughout the Nordic territory. Commenting on the release, Rising Star Games’ Yen Hau offered “Having seen what is already available across Europe we are genuinely excited to be part of this brand building push, especially when you consider the underlying ethics behind the Angel Cat Sugar world and the potential to match – even surpass – the trend set by Hello Kitty”. Although primarily aimed at a pre-teen female audience, there is potential to reach a wider casual audience, where the merchandising till now has proven to be a big success.
