No-one knows a city like a Local.
Tosh set to broaden tweenies travel property.

Brighton based Tosh Licensing is set to broaden its Local Folk® travel property at Brand Licensing Europe 2009, with a range of travel guides created specifically for the 7-12 year old market. Tosh Creative Director, David McLagan, explains: “Travel is about discovery – especially for this market. Even though they’re travelling with Mum and Dad, they’re really beginning to seek independence and form their own opinions. Local Folk® guides are designed to help them enjoy travel and realise there’s much more to it than just a bunch of boring museums.”

Forming an integral part of Local Folk®, is its bold, design-led characters representing iconic people from cities around the world. In 2010, characters from London, New York, Sydney and Edinburgh will be joined by Local Folk® from Rome, Moscow and Barcelona, providing excellent licensing opportunities across many categories in this lucrative sector.

Also at BLE 2009, Tosh Licensing will be showing an expanded Street Speak® property which combines quirky, amusing and sometimes risqué street names from the UK and USA to deliver fun and irreverent euphemisms for a range of consumer products – from gifts, greeting cards and stationery, to kitchen, home and barware.
