Piatnik: Satiric puzzling with Haderer

Piatnik - September 2009

When it’s red tape all the way, bigwigs jump over the worries of men in the street or politicians’ hypocrisy is exposed, he will certainly put it on paper: For more than 20 years Austrian caricaturist Gerhard Haderer has put his finger to the wounds of modern society. Now Piatnik Games Company release puzzles to five of his most popular drawings onto the German market.

Following the trails of “Stern” and “Titanic” caricaturists: Piatnik launch a barbed pleasure for all those that – like Harderer – have an eye for the little follies, pitfalls and mistakes we come across everyday. The barbed remarks of satirist artists reveal themselves in a very special kind when you assemble the 1000 puzzle pieces of their works. What is more, a Haderer puzzle is a perfect gift for all those, who take a critical view at German bureaucracy (“Amtsweg” and “Letzter Stempel”), the speechlessness of new media (“Einer ohne Handy”), overpositive political slogans (“think positive”) and times of great emotion (“Mai”).
