Latin America Broadcast Premiere Set for 2011

Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic (DLA/USH) and Breakthrough Entertainment, Inc. announced today that Discovery Kids has licensed the TV cable broadcast rights for My Big Big Friend, a unique animation series about three children and their imaginary friends. Breakthrough Films & Television partnered with 2DLab in Rio, Brazil to produce the preschool animation series, which will premiere on the network in 2011.

“My Big Big Friend is a delightful series that combines genuine imagination and adventure with humor and heart and we are thrilled that this series has found a home on Discovery Kids in Latin America,” said Nat Abraham, Head of Distribution for Breakthrough Entertainment.

“This series plays to 2DLab's strengths- each episode is highly emotional and always centered around the characters’ emotions and how, with the help of their BiG BiG friends, they can face their fears, grow and have a happy and playful childhood,” said Andre Breitman, CEO of 2DLab.

“My Big Big Friend will add to our strong lineup of programming,” commented Bilai Joa Silar, (Vice President and Channel Director for Discovery Kids). “The series is filled with original and dynamic characters with great storylines and we’re excited to bring these characters to our viewers in the region.”

My Big Big Friend (52 x 11’) -- The imaginations of children are truly incredible. In their imaginations, kids can go anywhere, be anyone and do anything. And sometimes their imaginations can even create new playmates; which is exactly what happened to three young friends; Yuri, Lili and Matt. My Big Big Friend is an engaging animated series for kids 3-5 where BIG problems shrink down to size with the help of a big, big friend.
