Target Entertainment Group announces more PlayStation® IP licensing deals

Target Entertainment Group has signed a host of new licensing deals for two PlayStation® software IPs (intellectual properties): LittleBigPlanet™ and Ratchet and Clank®.

Eaglemoss Publishing Group Ltd has signed a licence to produce a series of mini figurines based on Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet™, each with themed clothes and accessories. They will also producing a series of stickers and sticker albums. The deal covers UK and Eire, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Penguin Group (UK) is set to publish The Ultimate Official Guide to LittleBigPlanet™. Targeted at children age 7+, the 192 page guide will include hints and tips about the game as well as a pull-out customizable poster and access to exclusive downloads. The deal is for English language worldwide, excluding North America.

In the clothing category, Aykroyds and TDP Licensing Ltd are on board to produce children’s nightwear and underwear for LittleBigPlanet™ in the UK and Eire, while Smith and Brooks Ltd have the license to manufacture a broad range of boys and girls outerwear and leisurewear for both LittleBigPlanet™ and Ratchet and Clank®.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) appointed Target as the consumer product licensing agent for PlayStation® software IPs in April 2009.
