In Israel, the Chaotic card game launched in 2008 and quickly established itself as one of the top TCGs in the country. The first season of the Chaotic TV show has already aired on Noga TV and Season Two started at the end of September. Mitos International has signed a deal to produce a range of branded apparel and footware, including pants, sweatpants, tops, sweaters, sweatshirts, shirts, coats, jackets, t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, boots, sneakers, casual shoes, sandals, winter slippers and flip flops. The range is scheduled to launch in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza in Q1 2010. The new deals add to a strong existing licensing programme for the brand: Spin Master Inc. has the exclusive worldwide license to design, develop and manufacture Chaotic toys, H Grossman will produce a range of outdoor products including tents, bicycles and skateboards, Dracco is on board for chocolate eggs and other confectionary, Activision is scheduled to release the first Chaotic video game across EMEA in late 2010, and Penguin is on board for a range of products, from sticker books to graphic novels, scheduled for release next year. “These latest deals are evidence of the growing popularity of Chaotic in France and Israel,” said Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, Managing Director of 4Kids Entertainment International. ”We look forward to building on this success and further developing the brand across all sectors locally and globally.” Chaotic is the first trading card property specifically designed to combine trading card game play with an online multiplayer experience. Each Chaotic trading card is printed with a unique alphanumeric code that enables Chaotic players to upload their personal card collection onto the Chaotic Website - www.ChaoticGame.com - and do battle with players across the world. The Website now has over 1.9 million registered users who have collectively uploaded nearly 75 million cards to the site. |
