Toei Animation Inc. announced today that Canadian broadcaster, YTV, has picked up an additional twenty-three episodes of Pretty Cure - Season One, the popular kids animation series that follows the adventures of two young best girlfriends and their adventures together. Earlier this year, YTV launched the season’s first twenty-six episodes.

Pretty Cure (Season One, 49 x 30’)
Natalie is an outstanding athlete and daring girl that doesn't take to studying but has a very strong sense of justice. Hannah is an honor-roll student always boasting the best grades in her class. The two are both 8th graders at the Verone Junior High. Natalie and Hannah each encounter Mepple and Mipple - two mysterious creatures who came down from the sky one night. Mepple and Mipple have fled from their homeland - the Garden of Light - in order to escape an attack by the evil force of Dark Zone. These two strange creatures grant Natalie and Hannah the power to transform into superheroes called "Cure Black" and "Cure White" and thus the two girls become guardians of planet Earth, where the mysterious creatures called ‘the Garden of Rainbows’. Using their super powers, the two girls work together to battle the evil enemies sent to conquer the Garden of Rainbows by Dark Zone.
