BRANDORA Editorial Staff - November 2009

KidScreen Summit, the leading annual event for the kids entertainment industry, is thrilled to announce that Sir Ken Robinson, one of the world’s most in-demand speakers on creativity and innovation, will kick off this year’s event with a stimulating keynote presentation. Addressing an anticipated crowd of more than 1,400 creators, producers, distributors, broadcasters, consumer products execs, marketers and service providers who work with kids IP, Robinson will share his thoughts on overcoming the creative challenges facing kids entertainment businesses in the new global economy.

Robinson is an internationally recognized leader in the development of creativity, innovation and human resources and a New York Times best-selling author. He works with governments in Europe, Asia and the US, and his clients include international agencies, Fortune 500 companies and some of the world’s leading cultural organizations.

In 1998, he led a national commission on creativity, education and the economy for the UK Government. All Our Futures: Creativity, Culture and Education (The Robinson Report) was published to wide acclaim in 1999. He was the central figure leading the development of a strategy for creative and economic development as part of the Peace Process in Northern Ireland, working with the ministers for training, education enterprise and culture. The resulting blueprint for change, Unlocking Creativity, was adopted by politicians of all parties and by business, education and cultural leaders across the Province. He was also one of four international advisors to the Singapore Government for its strategy to become the creative hub of South East Asia.

Jocelyn Christie, KidScreen’s Publisher, says: “We are delighted to have a speaker of this calibre share his insights with our delegates. Each year we work hard to bring in experts from different fields to help inspire the kids entertainment executives who attend the Summit, and we look forward to hearing Sir Ken’s unique thoughts on the industry challenges we are all currently facing.”

KidScreen Summit 2010, which takes place from February 10 to 12 at the Hilton New York, offers an unparalleled opportunity to keep abreast of important issues and trends in the fast-moving international kids entertainment industry, generate business and revenue opportunities, and network with leading decision-makers.
