For more than 50 years the world of Barbie has been standing for shopping, sports, music and friends. Barbie is a fashion idol for girls around the world. The brand new fashion game by ASS Altenburger features the fashion model with the largest wardrobe on Earth in eight different situations – on the beach, in her spare time, with her pets and on parties. The Happy Families game for fashion-conscious girls aged 4+ is comprised of 32 cards and comes in a sturdy metal box. From this December the set will be available for Euros 4.95 in toy stores and stationery shops throughout Germany. The new “Fashion Game” is only the first card game of ASS Altenburger’s new Barbie range. Already in February 2010 another two card games for girls aged between 4 and 10 will be introduced to the public.

Barbie Fashion Game – Play Happy Families with world’s most popular fashion doll
50 years ago, when Mattel launched their first ever Barbie doll to the market, nobody would have been able to foretell her overwhelming international success. Millions of girls grow up and see the stylish little Miss as their fashion idol. “Fans and fashion-maniacs will get their money’s worth with the new Barbie Fashion Game”, said marketing manager Susanne Schneider. “The game features eight different situations on 32 cards in 62 x 100 mm format and any girls will readily identify with Barbie.” On the beach or during her spare time, while shopping or together with her many pets – Barbie always shows her best side and inspires little girls. The game comes in a sturdy metal box that may also serve as a beautiful jewel box. From December 2009 fans may buy the set at an estimated retails price of Euros 4.95 in toy stores and stationery shops throughout Germany.

From February 2010 another two Barbie Fashion Card Games will enter the German market. In addition to the brand new game “Catch a Barbie” which calls for speed and quick reactions, there also is a 3-in-1 game for playing the classic Pairs game and other variants. Both games will be introduced to trade visitors and the media at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg next year.
