Build your own “Red Goddess”

What is your first idea when you hear ‘Formula One’? Ferrari, of course! Like no other team the Italian racing team represents the royal league of fast cars. No other team has ever won so many victories and world titles. Millions of fans around the globe cross their fingers for the Scuderia Ferrari. Thanks to TAMIYA, German Ferraristi now look forward to another red highlight.

Just in time for the Christmas season they launch the latest Ferrari F60 as R/C model in 1:10 scales to the German market. The blazing red auto body is a detailed model of the 2009 racing car – broad front wings and extremely slender rear wings included. TAMIYA even integrated true-to-the-original rear mirrors, curved sidepods and two large exhaust pipes. This time it’s not Stefano Domenicali who decides on the driver of the “Blazing Red Goddess”, this time it’s up to the buyer, as the model kit comes with both helmet designs – one for Felipe Massa and one for Kimi Räikkönen.

The perfect auto body hides TAMIYA’s Formula chassis F104. The slim frame is tailor-made for roofless Formula One cars and convinces by sophisticated design. The battery is placed between the axles for perfect distribution of weight. The engine is positioned close to the rear axle and drives the wheels almost directly. For highly realistic design TAMIYA developed new rubber tyres for their Ferrari F60 model. And of course, the model comes with the typical Formula One rim covers.

But before the car enters the race track pilots become Formula One mechanics. TAMIYA sells the Ferrari F60 only as kit. The detailed instruction manual helps to assemble a special R/C car from countless individual pieces. What is more, TAMIYA even provides tune-up parts for more power and best driving performance.
