Bookaboo was selected from a raft of children's programmes to be nominated in the tough “Pre-School Live Action” category. The rock pup was crowned top dog ahead of the other nominees "Grandpa in my Pocket", "In the Night Garden" and "Milkshake Christmas Special" at the star studded British Academy Children’s Awards ceremony on Sunday 29th November.
Highlighting just how much fun sharing a picture book can be for both parents and children, Bookaboo is a multi-platform live action and animation series. Each episode features a famous face going back stage to share a story with Bookaboo on his Bookabus.
The first season is currently airing daily on CITV with Season 2 scheduled to premiere on the channel in Autumn 2010.
