  • Germany
    Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) will partner with one of Germany’s biggest games makers, Schmidt Spiele, to develop two brand new SpongeBob SquarePants games: ‘Mensch Ärgere Dich Nicht’ and ‘Kniffel’. The classic games, now made even more attractive, especially to SpongeBob SquarePants fans, will be available from 1 January 2010 across Austria, Germany & Switzerland at all good toy shops, department stores and online shops.

    Brighton-based DVD publisher, Best Medicine and NVCP International, have announced a brand new partnership which will see several Comedy Central shows released into the UK market on DVD from early 2010. Titles include stand up comedy hit, Chappelle’s Show (season 1), mockumentary-style law series, Reno 911 (season 1, plus ‘Best of Collection’), Comedy Central Roast series with Denis Leary, William Shatner and Flavor Fav, along with non-Comedy Central programme, The American Mall.
Programme Sales
  • MTV Networks International ends a year of 10th Anniversary celebrations for it’s iconic animation, SpongeBob SquarePants, by closing several programme sales deals for the property with key broadcast partners around the world:
    • European terrestrial broadcasters, NRK (Norway) and Switzerland’s RSI have picked up new seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants. In Asia and Latin America, the happy sponge’s popularity just keeps on growing with CCTV (China) closing a deal with MTVNI for seasons 5 & 6, and Uruguay’s Teledoce picking up brand new episodes which are all set to air from early 2010.
