“Up”, the adventure story on retired toy balloon vendor Carl Fredricksen and ambitious boy scout Russel, has only recently been successfully released to German theatres and is thus the youngest of the four Disney hit movies. The titles “Ratatouille”, “Wall-E” and “Cars” make the Happy Family complete. Together they won three Golden Globes, two Oscars and hit the top of movie and DVD charts for weeks.
A real first in mini book format, but well-known among children ever since the 1920s is Rupert Bear. The adventures, Rupert Bear and his friends from Nutwood face, are always full of magic and fantasy. Since 2009 Rupert Bear airs daily in Germany on Super RTL and reaches an average of 140 000 viewers and a maximum of 85% within the target demographic of three to six-year-olds.
From January 2010 Nelson Publishing distribute both mini book series in attractive point-of-sale displays of 24 books (4 titles x 6 copies) each.
