Adness Entertainment Sells Live-Action Property to Cartoon Network in Asia and Australia

Adness Entertainment has licensed the live-action boys series, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, to Cartoon Network in Asia and Australia, it was announced today by Daniel Castaneda, VP of International Sales. Forty half-hour episodes will launch in 2010 and will be seen in countries including Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and more.

Produced by leading Japanese entertainment studio Adness Entertainment, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight follows the heroic adventures of teenager Kit Taylor, who discovers a mysterious deck of Advent Cards that grant him the power to transform into an ancient armored warrior called a Kamen Rider. He joins his comrade, Kamen Rider Wing Knight, to battle the alien renegade warlord, General Xaviax, and his army in both the real world and an alternate reality called Ventara, or the Mirror World.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is based on the original series, “Kamen Rider Ryuki,” produced by Toei Company and aired in Japan in 2002. “Kamen Rider” written by Shotaro Ishinomori, is the most popular and successful live-action series for kids in Japan of all time. First introduced in Japan in 1971, it is still a top rated show after 38 years and counting. It has spawned an unprecedented number of television and theatrical sequels.

The broadcast line-up for Kamen Rider Dragon Knight already includes: MediaSet (Italy), RTL2 (Germany), Cartoon Network (Latin America), TV Globo (Brazil), Televisa (Mexico), Venevision (Venezuela), and Caracol (Colombia) among others.
