Batman conquers television with a brand new series: “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”

2010 will be a very special year for Warner Bros.: DC Comics is celebrating its 75th anniversary. In order to pay adequate tribute to this event and to its favorite superheros Warner Bros. Consumer Products will launch various activities in the licensing sector and will provide new content for the big screen, DVD and TV. Kick-off date will be February 8, 2010 with the start of the brand new animated series “Batman: The Brave and the Bold', which will be broadcast on Cartoon Network channel and which will be aired from February 20, 2010 onwards also as part of the Cartoon Network slot on kabel 1. The action-packed series has been launched successfully already in the US, Spain, France, Italy and the UK.

In this new series Batman, one of the most famous and popular super heroes of all time, is fighting side by side with other well-known heroes of the DC Comics world. There will be for example a return of Superman and Wonder Woman, who support Batman in his fight against evil in Gotham City. For the first time ever our heroes will be fighting crime in so far unknown territories beyond the city limits as well. Moreover, there are new technical gadgets to discover such as a brand new Batmobil for example, which certainly holds some surprises. Fans young and old can look forward to breathtaking stunts and loads of action and fun, all packed into exciting plots.

The 30-minute Warner Bros. Animation adventure series is based on the popular comic books by DC Comics and its design is inspired by the classic and colourful style of the Batman-Comics of the 1940s and 1950s. The main target audience are boys age six to eleven.
