Chorion Boosts Global Executive Teamm

Appoints Steve Cipolla as EVP Global Licensing & Sales and Tamra Knepfer as EVP Brand Management & Marketing

Leading family entertainment producer and distributor Chorion is expanding its executive team and further strengthening its Global Brand and Licensing capabilities with the appointment of two senior executives.

Tamra Knepfer has been named as Executive Vice President Brand Management & Marketing and Steve Cipolla as Executive Vice President Global Licensing & Sales.

As Executive Vice President of Brand Management & Marketing, Tamra is responsible for overseeing brand strategy, marketing and creative for Chorion’s brands worldwide. She joins the company with nearly 20 years of experience in consumer products, marketing and licensing in the children’s entertainment industry.

Most recently, Tamra was Senior Vice President, Global Licensing and Business Development for Rodale, working on publishing brands including Men’s Health and Prevention. Prior to Rodale, she was Senior Vice President, Consumer Products for the newly created American Greetings Properties group where she oversaw worldwide outbound licensing, brand management, marketing and retail business development for new properties and existing character franchises such as Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake.

Previous positions have included Vice President of Marketing for Sesame Workshop’s Global Consumer Products and International TV Distribution division; Head of Marketing for Mommy and Me Enterprises Inc., and marketing and licensing roles at The Walt Disney Company.

As Executive Vice President Global Licensing & Sales, Steve Cipolla will oversee Chorion’s global licensing and retail teams and develop new opportunities for the company’s growing portfolio of brands.

Steve has over 20 years’ experience leading Consumer Products businesses for top entertainment and lifestyle brands, most recently as Vice President & General Manager, ESPN Consumer Products where he built the licensed and direct marketing departments within ESPN and launched global merchandising initiatives for ESPN and X Games franchises.
