The 11th annual KidScreen Summit drew a crowd of almost 1,500 kids entertainment professionals to New York last week, representing a 15% increase compared to 2009. The annual event continues to attract more and more attendees from overseas—this year, 63% of delegates came from outside the US, giving KidScreen Summit attendees unprecedented access to the hottest kids producers and the most powerful kids broadcast executives from around the world. This 2010 edition welcomed larger-than-ever groups from Malaysia, Korea and Brazil as a direct result of KidScreen’s organization of international delegations for attendees from these countries. A boosted attendance from the UK (up 28%) and France (up 17%) also contributed to the Summit’s overall growth this year. “We are always thrilled to welcome delegates from countries that have not been represented at the Summit before because it’s a great testament to the event’s global influence,” says KidScreen Publisher Jocelyn Christie. “This year, we hosted companies from Pakistan, Qatar, Colombia and Puerto Rico for the first time.” KidScreen Summit’s unique position as part-conference-and-part-market offers its attendees the opportunity to customize their event experience to suit their goals and priorities. Offering the year’s best networking and best professional development opportunities through an integrated conference format featuring keynotes, presentations, panel discussions, workshops and pitching formats, the Summit is the perfect place to learn about the latest trends, issues and opportunities and connect with the industry’s top decision-makers. The location and dates for KidScreen Summit 2011 will be announced in a separate release to come shortly. |
