Fitz Roy Media has named Brandzoo the exclusive licensing agency to represent the company’s entire portfolio of properties throughout the UK; it was announced by Fitz Roy Media CEO Hamp Hampton.

Beginning March 2010, the three-year deal includes such well-known properties as Heathcliff, Secret Wings, Fido Dido and Funny Face, among others.

For the Secret Wings brand, Brandzoo’s initial efforts will focus on the apparel, novelty and gift, and back to school categories. For Fido Dido, the company will focus on direct to retail programs for t-shirts, hoodies, jeans and other related product categories along with promotional tie-ins with wireless carriers and Internet sites targeting teens and tweens.

“Headed up by Jenny Johnstone, Brandzoo has grown into a respected and successful brand management company with an impressive client list. Jenny is joined on the sales side by Jane Forbes who brings with her invaluable experience gained over many years working with some of the most successful brands in the licensing industry,” said Hampton. “We are excited to have such innovative entrepreneurial talent behind our properties and anticipate unbridled success for our intellectual properties under their guidance.”

“Fitz Roy Media has amassed an impressive slate of highly marketable brands that are well suited to a wide variety of product categories and promotional tie-in opportunities for children and young adults alike. We look forward with great anticipation to exploiting these already high-profile properties as we build new brand awareness well into the future,” said Brandzoo Managing Director Jenny Johnstone.
