Rubicon Studios Announces Television Debut Of First U.S. Co-Production
All New Animated Pink Panther & Pals Co-Produced and Co-Financed with MGM Premieres Sunday, March 7th at 7:30AM on Cartoon Network

Pink Panther & Pals, an all new animated series that marks first U.S. co-production from Los Angeles-based Rubicon Studios, will premiere Sunday, March 7th at 7:30AM on Cartoon Network, it was announced by Randa S. Ayoubi, CEO, Rubicon Group Holding.

The first new Pink Panther series in 17 years, Pink Panther & Pals is co-produced and co- financed by Rubicon Studios together with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM).

“We are thrilled to be entering the U.S. marketplace through our association with MGM and pleased to be working with Executive Producer David J. Corbett, who heads up our U.S. division,” said Ayoubi. “David and the Rubicon team in Los Angeles, Amman and Manila have created a wonderful new series starring the iconic Pink Panther and his group of friends that is certain to be embraced by young fans for generations to come.”

Pink Panther & Pals continues the hilarious adventures of one of the most-beloved animated characters of all time, the one-and-only Pink Panther. In his new incarnation, Pink Panther is a bit younger – more teen than grown-up. But while he may be young, he has all the attributes that made the grown-up pink panther the icon that he is today – cool and savvy, curious and confident.

Each show airing on Cartoon Network contains two seven minute episodes of a teenage Panther and his buddies, and one short of the classic Ant & the Aardvark characters.

“The new Pink Panther & Pals remains true to the original series with great storytelling, great animation and great comedy. Kids will love the fresh cleverness of the Pink Panther and his jaunty attitude, and those who grew up with him will be happy to see that the Pink cat has not lost one ounce of his integrity,” said Corbett.

Pink Panther & Pals is based upon the animated Pink Panther character created by David DePatie and Friz Freleng and the Pink panther films of Blake Edwards. David J. Corbett, Isam S. Ayoubi and Walter Mirisch are serving as Executive Producers with Joe Patrick, Executive Vice President of Domestic Television, overseeing the series for MGM.
