Cartoon Network US acquires 3 Marathon Media properties

Following the success of the first four seasons, US broadcaster Cartoon Network has acquired the latest series of the hit family animation Totally Spies!, as well as the theatrical feature film Totally Spies! The Movie which was released internationally in 2009.

Cartoon Network US has also acquired the Amazing Spiez, 52 x 26 mins, The brand new new boy skewing spy comedy series produced by Marathon Media, a Zodiak Entertainment company.

Thos three programs as well as every other Marathon Media’s productions are distributed worldwide by Zodiak Entertainment Distribution.

These latest sales confirm Marathon Media as the only European production company to have sold each of its animated programs – a total of 404 episodes - over the past five years to major US channels or networks (Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney XD, etc.).

Marathon Media is now one of the leading providers of animation to American channels and the N°1 European producer on the US market.

This vindicates Marathon Media’s strategy of producing high-quality, long-running series generating strong audience ratings aimed at the international market, specifically North America.
