Gormiti Licensing and Merchandising expands in the Middle East

Giochi Preziosi and Marathon Media are pleased to announce that East-West Licensing has been appointed as Licensing and Merchandising agent in the Middle East. East-West Licensing will expand even further the Gormiti brand outside its core toy line, distributed by New Boy, supported by the Gormiti TV Series, airing on MBC from March 2010.

East-West Licensing is the latest addiction to Gormiti’s already established worldwide network of licensing and merchandising agents: Marathon Media in France, Mediaset in Italy, Planeta Junior in Iberia and Greece, Plus Licens in the Nordic countries and Eastern Europe, Telescreen in the Benelux, The Licensing Company in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Outside Europe: JTMG in US and Canada, Sinerji in Turkey, Yooka in Israel, Character Licensing and Marketing in South Africa, Wild Pumpkin’ in Australia and New Zealand, Tycoon Enterprise in Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Perù and Chile, IMC Licensing in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia, and Luiz Angelotti in Brazil.
New agents will be announced soon.

Gormiti TV series, the 52 x 26’ Giochi Preziosi & Marathon Media co-production, has been on air in Italy on broadcaster Mediaset since Autumn 2008 and has generated outstanding ratings. From Fall 2009, has hit the screens in the US (Cartoon Network), France (M6 and Canal J), Germany (RTL2), the UK (Nick Toons and GMTV2), Spain (RTVE & CN), Greece (Alter Channel), Turkey (Digi Turk), Israel (Noga), in the Middle East (MBC), TV3 in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia; Nova TV in Bulgaria and Globo TV in Brazil. Further international broadcast sales will be announced in the next months.

International television and home entertainment rights to the Gormiti brand are handled by Zodiak Entertainment Distribution. Licensing and merchandising is managed by Marathon Media in France and Giochi Preziosi for the rest of the world, through a network of agents.
